Aromat will not open any rom.dll directly. It opens  the ROMdump only. Use NFE0706  to open and get the ROM.IMG ,  it will be in the temp file....copy the same before closing the application. Then extract the files by  readimage.exe. open the power.dll by any Hex editor.

How can we know that 01B2 = 434 ? Some calculations? :o

decimal of 01B2 is 434 ..

In fw each n every value is in the form of hexadecimal ..we need to convert them to decimal to kno the exact value in mb or bytes ..

okzz... btw see above image from C5-03

have u taken that image of power.dll from c5-03 ??

But c5-03 cpu is 600 Mhz rite ..?

So in place of 01B2 there should be 0258 (hex value of 600) ..i mean actually 58 02 in place of B2 01 as told by vizhigal for the 434 Mhz cpu ..!!

I m confused now ..wait for vizhi ..

+1 to u too pavan ..

Now i m thinking just to give a try ..

Using nfe0706 we can compare between the rom files of rm-750 (nokia 500) and rm-588 (nokia 5230) ...if the rom files r same then no doubt my 5230 will boot with rofsn files of 500 ..

But we have to modify the structure also according to the structure of 5230 rofs ...n maintain the size too ..so a complete hectic job ..

This is just an idea ...i kno its quite impossible ..but why shouldn't we give a try ?

And yes i too got lots of knowledge on partitioning by staring this thread ...special thanx to vizhi ..

pls can u work on porting nokia 500 to nokia 5230?im also interested in having belle on my 5230
