Hi .. thanks for your prompt reply. This is my first time even trying to install any CFW. Unfortunately most CFWs seem to be for RM-356 .. and I found zero for RM-428 (US)... Probably bcos Nokia marketshare is so low in US so not many ppl would have it. Tough for us Nokia users over here

so u can say tht em a newbiew for modding...thtx y i think that i should take some tutorials from die...whn he gets hs pc back or virus free laptop..

use the same core they are interchangable even for n97 and c6 ports so what worked for krystal 1 would work

Its better that u stay with v52, as if u upgrade your phone, u wont be able to downgrade it.. N for v60, there aren't better options..

Die .. I am a noob at this .. but willing to give it a shot .. if someone gives me simple instructions on how to port the RM-356 Krystal^1.5 to my RM-428 phone .. I will try it out. (Also let me know in the instrns what to do if I brick the phone accidentally).

Hmm i read somewhere that renaming the file doesn't always work. But in case it doesn't, you can repack the files using Nokia Firmware Editor.
