Posted July 29, 201311 yr comment_64653 Hi guys Shasi Burino (means long time no see) I heard many rumours about Extended Battery for smartphone. Need your suggestion if extended battery safe to use ? Please share your reason and views .
July 29, 201311 yr comment_64655 Should Be Safe I guess! There isnt any Case of any Potential Damage due to these Batteries except the Increase in Thickness! I prefer carrying two batteries :v
July 29, 201311 yr comment_64656 Extended batteries aren't harmful in any case. They're useful and that's what matters. In the end, it all comes down to your personal preferences - whether you want to make your phone run longer by making it heavier.
July 29, 201311 yr comment_64659 Extended batteries are a boon for the smartphone users who complain of frequent drain of their battery on high usage. The modern smartphones running on these power packed os'es consume battery fast , and this is where extended batteries play their role. But with these advantages, we also face certain limitations with these extended batteries, few of them primarily being 1) overheating of phones 2) chances of explosion if incompatible batteries are used. 3) The battery wear is a frequent issue in such batteries. 4) They are pretty expensive 5) Increase the weight of your phone considerably 6) Increase the thickness of your sleek phone 7) Charging takes a longer time (Point courtesy : Arya )
July 29, 201311 yr comment_64661 nokia 5233 never needed backup... battery... i hear 6 hrs music everyday,.. even though it drains 75 percent...
July 29, 201311 yr Author comment_64666 i also think but , these days we prefer the thickness of smartphone , where extended battery fail , but i am glad it's safe to use
July 29, 201311 yr comment_64668 Smartphones, they really lack in battery backup, i agree it depends on the way you use it... I got Galaxy Note, with DataOn/WIFI i can oly take it for 15hours, not more than that!! So here the extended battery are the best option. When it comes to purchasing extended battery should choose a branded and which are made of quality Cells inside them, failing which you might risk your phone , as we already seen S3 burning when used a cheap battery. So it all depends on the product, its really good when you use a genuine item instead of cheap battery made of cheap raw materials.
July 29, 201311 yr comment_64671 Now a days battery being the major problem to the smartphone users smartphone does everything but battery performance plays major role here. Well it also depends upon the usage.even I m disappointed with Battery backup of my nexus 4 using 2100mah battery which average performance.for this problem we have extended batteries available in the market which can help users to extend the battery performance by 4x but we must be aware while using this, these cab be dangerous in many situations they may explode due to overheating and etc using an branded and genuine battery will be safe to extend the battery performance.
July 29, 201311 yr comment_64672 Well, these days, smartphones have quad or octa core processors having less thickness and hence have small batteries due to which phones dry out very quickly.. Having extra battery is really a boon for smartphone users but it has own cons like : 1. Phone looks ugly 2. The charging time is very high, so if you in hurry you can't charge the battery 3. Phone becomes heavy and difficult to handle 4. Heating issues So, having an extra battery is good, but it should be used considering its disadvantages, otherwise it can become very hectic
July 30, 201311 yr comment_64685 But, no guarantee with the safety. They might explode in your pocket, or when sleeping.
August 2, 201311 yr Author comment_64759 The battery is not safe that is the main point and "it takes more time in charging" bcz of more power . and most of the thing the compatibility with phone . it can damage the phone via high current or negative flow
August 2, 201311 yr comment_64760 Never trust on extended batteries as they might explode.. I prefer secondary battery..
August 2, 201311 yr comment_64761 I'm planning to buy Sony's portable charger for my Xperia.. Do you guys think should I go for it or should I prefer secondary battery?
August 2, 201311 yr Author comment_64762 Extended battery Will take Longer time to attain full Charge? Yes , it's obvious fact that it'll take time....
August 2, 201311 yr comment_64763 Yes , it's obvious fact that it'll take time.... Put it on charge at night and use in day time
August 2, 201311 yr comment_64764 Put it on charge at night and use in day time well, that's the point. The more the mah of your battery , the longer it takes to recharge. Imagine you want to charge your phone completely in 30 min, at least to 50% , it is almost impossible with these extended batteries
August 2, 201311 yr Author comment_64765 I'm planning to buy Sony's portable charger for my Xperia.. Do you guys think should I go for it or should I prefer secondary battery? well portable charger is good thing but i think the portable charger's charging is not sufficent
August 2, 201311 yr comment_64766 well, that's the point. The more the mah of your battery , the longer it takes to recharge. Imagine you want to charge your phone completely in 30 min, at least to 50% , it is almost impossible with these extended batteriesYou have quoted the solution
August 2, 201311 yr comment_64767 Put it on charge at night and use in day time Never put any extended battery on charge at night.. You may wake up when your house is on fire as these extended batteries can explode anytime..
August 2, 201311 yr comment_64768 well portable charger is good thing but i think the portable charger's charging is not sufficent Yupp and carrying it will also be hectic
August 2, 201311 yr comment_64769 Never put any extended battery on charge at night.. You may wake up when your house is on fire as these extended batteries can explode anytime..Seriously???? That problem can also occur with official batteries
August 2, 201311 yr comment_64770 You have quoted the solution I don't get you there . What did you mean by quoting the solution ?? Putting it on charge overnight ?? If that's what you consider as solution, then no, my point was rapid charging innovation should be there in these extended batteries, so your battery gets charged faster but lasts longer

I read it somewhere..
