ive rooted phones before but this was my first time with a pantech so it seemed wierd, but everthing went well until i came to the unlocking bootloader part. I downloaded the zip and transfered it to the phone but when i go into cwm recovery (cwm 6 touch) i am unable to find the zip anywhere.?

( No offense ) . Why you can't find  ? Download the zip , And paste in SD card . In CWM select install from SD card and select SD card not ext-SD ( last option [till I remember] ) . It will be there bro : ) ..

Skip everything in procedure and just download that folder and copy that GBBoot.zip manually to SD card and in CWM select first option under install from  SD  card .

nope, i was able to unlock the bootloader using the non cwm way and it worked so i then copied the gizmo rom onto the phone and went into cwm recovery and its not there either again.?

then copy gizmolord rom via non cwm way also . also install via non cwm way . But first try to replace recovery . install recovery again with the tutorial we have here .
