Quite good belonging to a six-core family,It doesn't perform tht well.

AMD will make a steep entry with bulldozer in 2600K range nd itz gonna sue intel's market presence to some extent.

AMD is already making a stand with its Phenom processors to a certain extent....But with Intel i-series 2nd generation, AMD doomed again :(

Hope AMD sets back with some powerful processors with their economy range... :)

Yup Phenom series is ideal for Budget users!!!

With AMD's tendency to stick to AM3+ socket users can stick a best board and upgrade their processors when their savings r enough 8)

whereas Intel sux when it launches a new processsor,It launches new socket forcing enthusiasts to buy new mobos too :( :-X

Hey, help me buy an i3 2nd generation processor

which model is best ?

Which mobo is best for the selected CPU ?

Is GFX card compulsory to purchase for this CPU ?

Buy i5 2500K(11000) and Asrock z68 Extreme4 gen3(12000)

Ram 4gb-2000

den get a psu-4000

Case 1000-2000

Use Intel HD 3000 Graphics good for medium settings on ur resolution

Roughly 30000

Otherwise

i3 2100-6000

MSI H67MA-E35 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel H67 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard-5000

CORSAIR Builder Series CX500 V2 500W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply-3000

2TB-4000 or 1TB-2000

case+ram=3000

Roughly 20000

I am Afraid u cant get i3 in that range 20000 will be worth it :P

And u have to get a good psu otherwize u will be facing Mobo-Burnout :P

Nope... I calculated

I may get it at 15k

i3 2100 CPU - 5300 Rs (bargaining might fall this price to 5k)

Mobo- any supporting (MSI, ASUS, Gigabyte) At 3k range

So the total for CPU + Mobo will be 8k INR

LCD 18.5" (acer is cheap) = 4500 Rs

PSU (500 Watts) = 500 Rs .... i-ball

RAM DDR3 2GB @ 550 Rs (Dynet, Hynix)

Thatz all... :)

And I consulted Intel support..they told a PSU which could generate 500W output could be used safely

and yeah, Monitor brand doesnt matter really... :P

BTW, its not me who is buying....Its for one of my bst frnd :)

he has only 15k with him....
