CUSTOM ROMs Collection for Defy & Defy+

Guide/Steps to follow:

Boot into recovery: When you power ON the phone, press volume (-) hardware key as soon as you see blue notification light on top left corner of your phone. This will land you to the recovery mode menu.
Controls: Use Volume (+) and Volume (-) hardware keys to navigate through the menu and Power button to select the option.

1. Select "Wipe data/factory settings" ..... Confirm "Yes-Wipe data/factory settings"
2. Select "Wipe cache partition" ..... Confirm "Yes - Wipe cache partition"
3. Select "Install from sd card" ..... Select the ROM file you saved in your sd card and confirm it with "Yes"
4. Go to back>back until you reach the home menu of the recovery boot console. Then select "Advanced" option.
5. Select "Wipe Dalvik cache"
6. Select "Wipe battery cache"
7. Go to back and select "Install from sd card" .....select the kernel file you saved in your sd card and confirm it with "Yes".
Defy MB525 user should install Froyo/Gingerbread Kernel (Depends)
Defy+ MB526 user need not have to flash with kernel File. (just skip this process and move to step. 8 of this tutorial)
8. Select "install from sd card".....select the gapps file you saved in your sd card and confirm it with "Yes"
(gapps minimal recommended)
9. Please Note that not all custom roms will need gapps, and may need froyo or gingerbread kernel so if you have any doubts, ask and i'll try to help in the best way possible

- I currently have an Ainol Novo7 Flame/Fire tablet, and it has been working flawlessly.
 
- Its my 1st Chinese product and hasn't let me down.
 
- Hence i trust Ainol brand, It has good product specs, comfortable to hold and portable as well, especially for playing games, surfing and reading.
 
- The specs are promising and with the 1gb ram i can load a bunch of apps and games.
 
Suggestions for future giveaways: A photography contest as suggested by @die2mrw007 is definitely a good option, and price could be a mobile phone. The current contest is good as well, would like to participate in another.

There's a way you can recover your mass storage files successfully without deleting them.  But it is a long and complex procedure which requires you to be familiar with the basics of s60v5 modding + hacking. In case you are not familiar, go through the following topic :

Here's my solution :
1.  Edit your rofs2 using nokia cooker
2.  Search for  scriptinit.txt in rofs2private100059c9
3.  open the scriptinit.txt in notepad and add the following line at the end  
 
RD E:resourcefonts
 
4. Save the modified scriptinit.txt.
5. Now repack and flash your new rofs2.
 
 
hopefully, it should remove those corrupted fonts and start your phone again !

Process:- Please read carefull and then Do at your own risk.Rooting and installing cwm/twrp may void ur warranty.

1. Install all Drives in you Computer.
2. Extract SP_Flash_Tool_exe_v3.1248.0.96.zip
3. Extract Xolo Q800-CWM-Recovery.zip/TWRP2.4.1.0.zip on dekstop.
4. Run SP_Flash_Tool.exe (Blue Box)
5. Load "MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc" ( u can find in folder where u extract xolo Q800-CWM-recovery.zip/TWRP2.4.1.0.zip)
6. chcek "RECOVERY" and click on it and load the recovery.img
7. Now Go to window option in spflash tool 2nd last and check write memory.
8. Now u have write memory option in this window check "EMMC" in memory setting and open raw data and load recovery.img again.
9. Change recovery Partition Begin address :_ 0x2d80000 container lenth 0x600000 now click write memory now tool will search for device.
10. Connect your phone with usb driver (make sure all driver installed) and let the process run..
11. Red line and then Navy green and "OK" now close sp flash tool and unplug your phone
12. Press volume + and power button and hold till 10 sec now your phone will go in CWM Recovery.....

!!!!!!!!!!!! Have fun !!!!!! Now U have CWM/TWRP Recovery in your XOLO Q800 !!!!!!

Now u have CWM/TWRP on Your Xolo Q800 ..........!!!!!

Here we show you how to root xolo Q800
 
1. download "super SU " from here. Link: http://www.2shared.com/file/5B83AcpM/UPDATE-SuperSU-v104.html
2. Copy zip file to sd card .
3. Boot into recovery(TWRP/CWM) in phone and chose install zip from sdcard .
4. select zip file "super su ".
5. Reboot...
 
Now You Have successfully Installed cwm/twrp as well as rooted your phone...!!!
